The 'Javelin Cavalry is the first ranged cavalry unit that players can unlock in the Academy. They can be recuited in the Barracks.
These mounted javelineers can fight in melee combat if they must, though their light armor grants them little protection against attacks. They would rather use their superior speed to retreat to a safe distance and continue harassing the enemy with their spears.
